ROYAL STANDARD BAR

COCKTAIL BAR AND RESTAURANT

Welcome to Royal Standard

This premises existed from at least 1843 at 17 Star Street in the 1881 census, which is at the corner of Sale Street, later to be renamed Sale Place.  A pub was established in 1826 and rebuilt in its present form in 1939. It was renamed the Rob Roy in recent years.

After major refurbishment and modernisation the Royal Standard Cocktail Bar opened its doors in November 2015. At the time, cocktail bars in Paddington were few and far between. We are located on Star Street, walking distance from Edgware road and Sussex Gardens, making it the ultimate London party pad. We wanted to open a venue which delivered high quality drinks and service, but without any of the pretension that came along with those things in 2015. We also wanted to do things a little differently with our design and with our menus, for which we have become pretty famous.
In the years which have followed, we’ve been very lucky to have made drinks for, and served, hundreds of thousands of guests.
On this site you should find all the information you need about us. If there’s something you want to know that’s not on this site, then please don’t hesitate to contact us, or, come have a cocktail.
